In the summertime Wild Mountain is a great place for family entertainment.  Less than one hour from the Twin Cities, Wild Mountain features a water park with something to do for all ages.  There is the Wild Adventure Island nestled within the calm confines of the 800-foot serpentine lazy river complex!  Featuring 4 waterslides, hydro fountains, a cargo climbing net, water cannons and bubblers, this water adventure is sure to keep guests of all ages busy.  The little ones can even splash and play in the zero depth area.  One the west side you don't want to miss the Black Hole or the 3 other water rides.  You can also enjoy go karts and the Alpine Slide!  Wild Mountain is the perfect place for summertime family fun!

Taylors Falls Scenic Boat Trips

The Taylors Falls Scenic Boat Tours is a family operation and has been in the same family for over 100 years.  Our fleet of excursion boats include the Taylors Falls Queen and the Taylors Falls Princess.  The "Queen" is nearly 80 feet long, 20 feet wide, has two decks and can carry up to 149 guests.  The "Princess" can carry up to 250 guests.  Your licensed boat pilot and your guide will point out the unique rock formations that were left behind as the glaciers retreated thousands of years ago.  Among the most outstanding formation is the huge stone cross for which the St. Croix River was named. "St. Croix" means Holy Cross.  Other sites that can be seen from the boats include: the world's largest glacial kettles or "pot holes", Lion's Head, Turk's Head and the highlight of the boat tour, The Old Man of the Dalles - the most outstanding natural rock face you'll ever see.

Taylors Falls Canoe and Kayak Trips - Day trips on the Lower St. Croix River.  The St. Croix River is one of the cleanest and healthiest river systems in the United States.  It flows through some of the most scenic and undeveloped country in the Midwest, which makes it a favorite recreational river for young and old alike.

Be sure to watch for wildlife along your float.  Thousands of birds migrate up and down the river every year using the backwaters for shelter and feeding.  Keep an eye out for beaver, otters, white-tailed deer, and even bald eagles along your canoe/kayak trek.

Conveniently located approximately one hour from the Twin Cities, Taylors Falls Canoe and Kayak Rental is prepared to outfit you and your family/group with the equipment you will need to enjoy a wonderful day in the Minnesota great outdoors.  Our most popular trips vary in length from two to six hours starting in Minnesota Interstate Park in Taylors Falls and continuing downstream on the St. Croix to either the Osceola Landing or William O'Brian State Park.
